About the Constitution Society

The Constitution Society was founded April 1, 1994, in San Antonio, Texas, to lead in public education on constitutional history, law, and government. This website at http://constitution.org went live September 15, 1995., and has been growing in content and number of visitors ever since. It is an attempt to make available on one site everything one would need to decide any constitutional issue.

The founder, president, and webmaster was Jon Roland.

5. History

Jon Roland, the original creator of the Constitution.org website, passed away on 1/4/2020 in the morning. Custody of the orignal site has been transferred to his Board of Trustees.
